Determine Our GoalsY

No matter what I do, its never enough No matter what I say, its never enough Actions don't speak louder than words Progress is no such thing I'm back to square one
Two steps forward Two steps back Why can't I just go forward? All I want is consistency What do I have to do for stability? What do I have to say?

Disappointment, in oneself
Is punishment enough
It’s always there, always pushing
Never going to let up

You duck, you turn,
Yell, “Go Away!”
Silently it stands,
Screaming in your head,

“You Suck! You Screwed Up!
What the Heck were you Thinking?!
You know better! You are better.
But not today, oh no.

Today you are a fool
The jester, the loser, all day long
You can’t succeed you cannot win
So just give up instead”

Fight this voice, prove it wrong
Stand tall and strong and firm
Take what’s coming, face it head on
Instead of running away

Do lots of good, try real hard
And I promise you’ll succeed
You’ll learn a lesson

And if you do it right
Instead of easy
They’ll respect you more

You’ll respect yourself and have pride
Some things like this are hard to keep
But you can do it if you try
Although it’s harder every week

Gratification can wait
Self hate can die
Remember you are loved
And although it’s hard
The thing to do is
Stand and fight
Disappointment in oneself.
